LTG (Ret.) Roy Beauchamp provides the Howland Group
with logistics consulting services through
his firm Beauchamp and Associates, LLC.
Established in October 2007, his company
provides consulting and advisory services on
logistics, technology introduction,
construction business opportunity
development and organizational and leader
development.
LTG Beauchamp served as Senior Vice
President for Domestic Operations in the
Defense Business Unit of Washington Group
International from October 2002 until
September 2005. Prior to joining Washington
Group International, for thirty-seven years
he served in the United States Army, during
which time he held a wide variety of
positions involving technology management,
production management, industrial base
management, project management, contract
management and logistics management. His
jobs included Commanding General, Defense
Industrial Supply Center, Defense Logistics
Agency, Deputy Chief of Staff for Research,
Development and Acquisition, Army Materiel
Command, Commanding General, Tank-automotive
and Armaments Command, AMC and Director of
Logistics and Security Assistance, U.S.
Central Command. His last assignment prior
to his retirement was Deputy Commanding
General of the Army Materiel Command, a $22
billion, 44,000 employee organization
supporting the United States Army,
worldwide. During his military career, LTG
Beauchamp commanded tactical logistics units
in Europe, the United States, Vietnam and
the first Gulf War as well as Industrial
Installations producing the M-1 Abrams Tank.
LTG Beauchamp earned his Bachelor’s degree
in Business Management from the University
of Nebraska at Omaha. He then earned an MBA
from the University of Dayton and a Master
of Arts, Public Administration, from Central
Michigan University. He also studied at the
Industrial College of the Armed Forces, the
Command and General Staff College, the Aspen
Institute and Harvard College.
